Celine Dion, Psy to perform at Chinese New Year gala
Press Trust of India Beijing 'Gangnam Style' hitmaker Psy and Canadian singer Celine Dion are all set to perform on different TV networks to help usher in the Chinese New Year. With only a few days to go to the Chinese Lunar New Year Eve on February 9, the Spring Festival evening galas of various TV stations have roped in international stars for their shows. China Central Television (CCTV) has invited pop diva Celine Dion, while Shanghai-based Dragon TV has South Korean rapper Psy, reported Global Times. Dion will perform with her friend, Chinese soprano Song Zuying Song and has spent hours rehearsing the popular folksong 'Jasmine Flower' or 'Mo Li Hua'. The singer will also sing her signature tune, 'My Heart Will Go On', from the blockbuster film, 'Titanic'. The CCTV Spring Festival Gala has been held every year since 1983 and is broadcast live to the world on the Lunar New Year's Eve. A billion people are expected to tune in for what has become a well-established tradition. The gala attracts the world's largest TV audience for a show of its type.
