The three-member Central team deputed to inspect drought-hit areas in Karnataka today inspected various places in the district and interacted with the farmers.
The officials visited Doddaullarthi, Parashurampur and Chitranayakanhalli villages, heard the grievances of the farmers.
Later talking to reporters here, the officials said they would submit a report to the government as early as possible.
"We have visited various places in the drought affected Chitradurga district to review drought situation," one of the officials said.
They said incessant rainfall in the last four days will not help kharif crop because farmers had completed sowing on 25 per cent of the targeted area.
They also said it will be difficult for farmers to take up farming following rains playing truant in the catchment area of Vedavathi for the last few years.
The officials will visit Kolar and Bengaluru in next few days before submitting the report to the government.
