Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal, while taking part in a ceremony held at Janpath in front of Assembly building and attended by scores of people, promised to provide electricity to every household, LED street lights and improvement of power infrastructure in next four years in the state.
Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari also unveiled the plaques to lay the foundation stones of nine highways projects worth Rs 3,830 crore and assured support to promote tourism in the state by improving its infrastructure.
The minister also informed that three solar parks -- two in Jodhpur and one in Jaisalmer -- will be set up to generate 2,700 MW solar power and Centre will give a grant of Rs 540 crore to the state.
Goyal also announced to provide financial assistance to the state for improvement of electric sub stations and transmission lines.
A total of 4,950 toilets will be constructed in over 2,700 schools in the state under Prime Minister's Clean India Mission, he said.
