Talking to reporters here after paying obeisance at the Golden Temple, Badal alleged, "media everyday was bringing out scandals of Sarna brothers, who were looting the exchequer of DSGMC but Congress-led government at the Centre by delaying the elections to this Gurdwara Management body, is giving them extended opportunity to mint money without any electoral authorisation".

Badal said that elections to DSGMC should always be held on schedule and no one should be allowed to continue in office after the expiry of their term.

On being asked about the dissension in Amritsar Congress on the eve of visit of State Congress President Amarinder Singh to Majitha, Badal claimed "even Congress workers have realised that Singh has no issue against the SAD-BJP Government and he is be-fooling them with protest dharnas".

Touching on the "internal bickerings" within Punjab Congress, Badal said that "Congress poses no challenge to SAD-BJP government as it would die its own political death due to internal dissent".

Talking about sugar prices, Badal claimed that SAD-BJP Government has fulfilled its promise by lowering the VAT on Sugar and now it was up to the traders to bring down prices.
