The Centre has appointed senior BJP leader Shanta Kumar, who is also in-charge of political affairs of party in Punjab, as its emissary to get the issue resolved, Badal said.
"I am in constant touch with the Centre through their emissary Shanta Kumar, who has assured of early resolution of this vexed issue (separate SGPC by Haryana)," he said.
A statement quoting Badal said that "his party Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is not fond of organising 'morchas' (movements/ struggles)."
He said that the party would chalk out its future course of action on July 27 at Amritsar during the World Sikh Conference.
