These 44 officers, who were borne on the undivided cadre of Andhra Pradesh, have been provisionally allocated to Telangana, an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.
The provisional allocation will, however, have no bearing on their final allocation, it said.
The final allocation of IAS, Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officers to Telangana will be decided after the DoPT accepts recommendation of a committee in this regard.
The composition of these three all India services was recommended by a six-member committee, headed by former Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) Pratyush Sinha, in its preliminary report to DoPT.
