The Centre may provide incentive to police officers, up to 30 per cent of their respective salaries, who would like to work in the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D).
Home Minister Rajnath Singh also agreed to examine the pay structure of certain ranks of officers who join the central government on deputation, following complaints of anomalies.
Singh agreed the ministry will consider the request of the BPR&D for an incentive of 30 per cent of salary, like other training institutions, to encourage more officers to join the organisation willingly, an official statement said.
Singh, who inaugurated the new headquarters building of the BPR&D, appreciated the efforts of the organisation and the National Building Construction Corporation for timely completion of the project.
Singh awarded the union home minister's medal for best police trainer to Uttar Pradesh DGP Sulkhan Singh and police medals to several officials of the BPR&D.
