Centre mulls setting up of gyms in rural areas: Minister

Discussions with the officers in this regad had been completed and the government was now considering to introduce the plan, he told a function here.

Alwar was the only district in the country where the facility of fitness centres or gyms was being made available at the Gram Panchayat-level (through MP Local Area Development fund), Singh said.

Rs six crore had been sanctioned for this purpose, said the minister who represents Alwar constituency in the Lok Sabha.
