"I think the approach of Odisha in implementation of projects is extremely positive. We are happy that the state has set a timeline for every project," Anil Swarup, Additional Secretary Cabinet Secretariat Government of India after reviewing a meeting here.
Stating that excellent strides had been made in different projects, Swarup said Odisha is the "First state to introduce State Project Monitoring Group" for putting the investment proposals on fast track.
"This exercise has been helpful for expediting forest clearance, environment clearance, land acquisition and other statutory clearances," he said.
Pati also asked the Railway authorities to erect barricades and provide passages/underpass for movement of animals along the railway lines that passes through the jungle area.

Cabinet Committee on Investment (CCI) have been set up to fast track the large investment projects in different states, he said.
In today's meeting around 38 projects in coal, railway, power, and national high way, steel sectors were reviewed in two sessions.
The projects like Haridaspur-Paradeep Rail Link-Rail Connectivity Project for Paradeep Port, RSB METAL Tech, Jharsuguda-Rengali doubling, Talcher-Bimlagarh new railway line, Angul-Sukinda new line project, Jharsuguda-Barpalli- Sardega Railway Line, Nataraj (U/G) Mine and others were discussed.
Ananta Thermal Power Project, Lanco Babandh Power Ltd, 4,000-MW Odisha Ultra Mega Power Project, KVK Nilachal Power, UCM Coal Company, POSCO Steel, Integrated Stainless Steel, VISA Steel Limited, Odisha, SMC Power Generation Ltd, Essar Steel India, JSPL Angul Steel Project, Monnet Ispat and Energy Limited, Bhushan Steel Ltd, CRNO Project and Jindal Steel & Power projects were also discussed.
