Centre proposes to appoint K K Sharma as Goa chief secretary

Union Home ministry has proposed to appoint advisor to the administrator of Chandigarh K K Sharma as the new chief secretary of Goa.
According to a circular issued by Home Ministry, under secretary A K Das has proposed to appoint advisor of administrator of Chandigarh K K Sharma as secretary of the state.
The position is vacant since B Vijayan retired last month from the post.
Sources close to the chief minister office said that the state is yet to convey their acceptance on the appointment.
The circular regarding the appointment was issued late last month, however the delay in acceptance of the order was not disclosed by the officials concerned.
Currently, senior IAS officer R K Srivastava is serving as the acting chief secretary.
