"If it has been launched for farmers, why it has not been promoted in all the districts, panchayats and villages? Why it was silently launched only on the website...Even farmers were not given enough time to register for the same," Gehlot said.
Whenever a government launches a scheme, it tries to make people aware about it and promote it in each city and village. But it was not followed in the case, he alleged.
"Even the notification was issued at a time when farmers are busy in irrigation work. If the government was serious about enrolling a large number of farmers under the scheme, they would have propagated it wide and across," he said.
