The House also witnessed a spat between members of several parties over the law and order situation in states like Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. On one occasion, the House had to be adjourned for 15 minutes due to the pandemonium.
The issue was raised during Zero Hour by Prahlad Joshi (BJP) who said the law and order situation in Karnataka was in a bad shape and the state government has not accepted the demands of the parents of the 35-year old officer, D K Ravikumar, to recommend a CBI probe.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the issue was flagged by a delegation of MPs who met him and said the Karnataka Chief Minister has informed him that after receiving more details, he would send a detailed report to the Centre.
If the state government recommends a CBI probe, the Centre will immediately order an enquiry by the central investigating agency, Singh said.

As the Left MPs demanded that they be heard, K Suresh (Cong) raised the issue of an alleged attack on a Dalit man in Tamil Nadu, which was immediately opposed by AIADMK members.
