Centre should go into 'misuse of powers' by Lt Guv:CPI-M

The CPI-M's Puducherry unit today demanded that the Centre order a probe by a high level committee of the Union Home Ministry into the "misuse" of powers by Lt Governor Virendra Kataria.
Unit Secretary V.Perumal alleged in a release here that Kataria was crippling the functioning of the elected government by misusing his constitutional position.
A detailed probe by a high level committee of the Union Home Ministry is necessary and hence the Centre should arrange for such a probe, Perumal said.
