Talking about interests of labourers, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today alleged that the state government and the Centre were neglecting the Small and Medium industries by removing 20 products from the reserve category.
Recently, the MSME Ministry has removed the reserve category tag from 20 products to enable big companies to take up the productions which was being made by small and medium industries, Gehlot said in a statement here.
"This would lead to unemployment and the Centre and the state's decision to encourage private big players would be proved a "lethal stroke" at the small and medium industries specially the lakhs of labourers engaged there," Gehlot said.
On one side the BJP governments (at the Centre and state) speak of skill development and employment, and on other side they were going to hurt entire labour classes engaged in MSME, he further accused.
Even FORTI, Rajasthan Oil Industries Association have condemned this very move of BJP governments, he added.
In another statement, Gehlot reiterated that the neither the state government nor the Centre so far made relief and compensation to farmers who suffered heavy crop losses due to rain-hailstorm havoc.
