Centre, state officials reviews ADB Summit arrangements

Officials from the Centre and Uttar Pradesh today reviewed the arrangements for the Asian Development Bank Annual Summit scheduled to be held at India Expo Centre here from May 2 to May 5.
Representatives from 67 countries are expected to participate in the event for which state government has granted all tax exemptions, Principal Secretary Industrial Development Sanjay Aggarwal said.
Foreign ministry secretary Arvind Mayaram, Uttar Pradesh ADG (Law and Order) Arun Kumar, Noida and Greater Noida CEO Rama Raman, IG, DIG and ADB officials were present at the review meeting.
Kumar directed the officers that there should no lacune and security should be fool proof, a spokesperson said.
Security forces from other districts have started reaching the city and by April 30, all forces will be ready, he said.
Administration plans to conduct mock drill for security and other arrangements, he said.
District Magistrate Kumar Ravikant Singh, SSP Preetinder Singh were also present at the meeting.
