The Union Finance Ministry will soon call a meeting of Secretaries of all key central ministries for giving "final shape" to a funding plan for Jammu and Kashmir.
This was conveyed to state Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu who met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for immediate post-flood financing requirement of the state.
Drabu also suggested an indicative funding plan which includes financing from multi-lateral institutions like the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, the state government, private institutions and the union government, a state government release said here.
Jaitley assured full support to the state and said that he will call a meeting of all key Union Secretaries including Health and Family Welfare, Human Resources, Road Transport and Highways, Railways, Water Resources and Power to "give shape and commitment to the funding plan," it said.
The Rs 44,000-crore proposal submitted by the previous government led by Omar Abdullah for rehabilitation of flood victims and restoration of infrastructure is pending consideration with the Home Ministry.
Both sides discussed the package also, official sources said.
