Centre to help Punjab Industry: Union Minister

Centre would extend all possible help to develop the industry in Punjab, Union Minister of state for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises G M Siddeshwara said today.
"The Centre would extend full support to develop the Punjab industry and also take all steps to stop the shifting of the industrial units from the state," he said.
Siddeshwara said the Modi government is determined to implement various welfare scheme for all sections of society.
"The Prime Minister is determined to improve economic condition of farmers by doubling their income," he said.
"Our external affairs ministry is doing its best to improve the relations with other countries," he said.
Exuding confidence that alliance partners SAD-BJP will win in the 2017 assembly polls in Punjab, he said "Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would form the next government again in the state."

He asserted that the two years of NDA government at the Centre have been exceptionally good.
Later, addressing a public meeting here, the minister highlighted the performance of Modi government.
"The Congress would be eliminated from the country," he said, adding there was "policy paralysis" during the Congress government.
"Our government has made progress with clear policy decisions," he said.
He also visited 'Shaheedi park' here and paid floral tributes to 25 RSS workers who were gunned down by the militants on June 25, 1989 while they were attending a shakha.
