Centre to hold meeting with states on pension issues tomorrow

A secretary-level meeting has convened here tomorrow by the Centre to discuss and adopt best practices on pension matters with the states.
The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions will discuss ways to streamline the pension procedure with secretaries in-charge of state governments' pension departments, officials said.
The meeting will also be attended by Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
There are about 30 lakh central government pensioners.
