The meeting with state Principal Secretaries (Personnel or General Administration Department) will also consider the IAS cadre review for Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim and union territories, an exercise undertaken every five years for different states.
The meeting will be chaired by Union Minister Jitendra Singh.
"The meeting will discuss the progress made by the state governments and union territories administration to constitute the civil services boards in respective states and UTs as a follow up to the directions of the Supreme Court for ensuring fixed tenure to IAS and IFS officers," a press release issued today by the Personnel Ministry said.
Determination of vacancies for promotion from state civil service officers and non-state civil service officers will also be on the agenda, the release said.

The government proposal to reduce the duration of induction training from 8 weeks to 6 weeks for officers inducted into IAS will also be taken up during the meeting, it said.
The Centre has made it mandatory for all inducted officers to undergo the training and the upper age limit of 52 years for such training was also raised to 54 years recently, the release said.
