The company had reported net profit of Rs 19.33 crore in the January-march quarter of last fiscal.
Cera's net sales in the quarter under review stood at Rs 250.44 crore, up 14.78 per cent as against Rs 218.19 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, the company said in a BSE filing.
Overall expenses during the quarter stood at Rs 218.83 crore, an increase of 17.70 per cent compared with Rs 185.91 crore in the fourth quarter in the previous year.
Cera Sanitaryware's scrip was trading at Rs 2,470.10 apiece, down 5.12 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
