CeRTEL organises colloquium on school education

Centre for Excellence in Research, Training and Leadership (CeRTEL) of XLRI- School of Management, today organised 'Teach India; Reach India' - National Colloquium on School Education here.
The event was inaugurated by Ruchi Narendran, managing trustee, Education Office, JUSCO.
Around 50 educationists, practitioners, Principals, policy makers and NGOs from across the country gathered at XLRI Campus to brainstorm on key issues relating to education in an effort to find common ground where they can work together to bring about positive changes in school education in India, a XLRI press release here said..
Sanjeev Varshney, Professor, XLRI, presented a paper on 'The Status of School Education in India Today'.
"XLRI has had a long and cherished tradition of training teachers, conducting workshops for Principals and trying out innovations and novel ideas in teaching. CeRTEL is the outreach programme which carries out these activities. As part of its ongoing efforts to make a meaningful contribution to school education in India, CeRTEL organized this National Colloquium on School Education today," said Francis Peter, Chairperson, CeRTEL, XLRI.
A new leadership and management course - PG Certificate in Applied Educational Leadership and Management Programme, a year-long online programme rolled out by XLRI for existing and aspiring heads of schools was launched at the event.
