The festival, which opened in Imphal on October 17, would travel to eight cities in Manipur and Sikkim in the next few days to showcase message-oriented and meaningful films, CFSI said in a release here today.
Dr Shravan Kumar, CEO, CFSI, said, "Manipur has a rich history of film-making and it has produced many noted directors and artists in the Industry. With film-making so very imbibed in the culture of these north-eastern states, we are happy to facilitate ingraining the cultural richness and precious heritage values of Manipur and Sikkim among their children through the powerful medium of films."
Early this year, CFSI had presented the second leg of 19th International Children's Film Festival in Gangtok, Sikkim, which also covered West Sikkim travelling through four districts viz. Geyzing, Yokosm, Bermoik Martam and Tharpuss.
This time CFSI has joined hands with 'Smile Foundation', a national level development organization which works for children's health and education, to host the 'Children film Bonanza' in Manipur & Sikkim states, the release said.
CFSI was setup in 1955 and since then it has produced over 260 films for children including feature films, short films, animations, television episodes and documentaries.
