"The medium is available to them now. They can shoot films on mobile phones and all of them have mobile cameras. We at CFSI are very much responsive to such kind of responses from little directors. We have made available the production guidelines on our website. The little directors don't need to come to Delhi. They can send a request online. We will respond to their request," CFSI CEO, Shravan Kumar told PTI.
"First, what I want to try to do is, after having the consent of these little directors, I am going to take these films all across the country through our programme of exhibition of films. We do an annual programme, we go to municipal schools and rural schools and show the films at a subsidised rate in theatres," he said.
"Where ever there are no theatres, we approach rural children through LCD screenings. I am now going to take all these films made by little directors to the rural areas through this programme of theatre screenings and LCD screenings and popularise it among children and see their response," he said.
Replying to a query, Shravan Kumar said he is open to collaborations with foreign distribution houses for screening Indian children's films abroad.
