CG to provide ZIV substations to Dominican Republic
Press Trust of India Mumbai Avantha Group Company CG has bagged a contract to equip seven transmission substations of Dominican Republic Transmission Utility ETED with its ZIV substation automation and telecommunication systems.
The project is part of the expansion of the electricity transmission system in the southern region of the Dominican Republic where the largest wind farm in the country is located, the company said in a statement today.
The contract is expected to be executed by March following which the project will commissioned by June.
The contract not only includes ZIV protection, control, telecommunication and engineering services but also a complete telecom system for another four existing substations.
"We foresee a strong growth in the smart grid segment with ZIV solutions, especially after a successful year with key wins from some of the most relevant and innovative European Utilities such as Iberdrola and Gas Natural Fenosa in Spain, EDP in Portugal and ERDF in France," company's CEO and Managing Director Laurent Demortier said.
