The Chhattisgarh sub-junior girls team recently defeated their rivals Tamil Nadu in the final of the 39th National Sub-Junior Basketball championship held at Verna in Goa.
Another sub-junior girls team from the state defeated Maharashtra in the 63rd national championship held in Puducherry to win the title for eighth time since formation of the state, while the boys team retained the title for third time making Punjab bite the dust in the final tie.
