Welcoming him, Ansari said the visit would strengthen relations between the two parliaments and the countries.
Ansari said that besides the official dialogue, the two countries are now engaged in numerous Track-II initiatives between the civil societies.
Bokhari thanked Vice President for the hospitality and said this was the first ever visit of Chairman of the Senate to India.
He emphasised there is a "complete consensus" in Pakistan in having good neighbourly relations with India. He lauded the resumption of dialogue process and appreciated the enhanced people-to-people contacts, including interaction between the parliamentary delegations and promotion of cultural exchanges.
Earlier he witnessed the sessions of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha where both Houses applauded the visit of the Parliamentary delegates.
