At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in May month fell by Rs 16, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 4,367 per quintal with an open interest of 28,820 lots.
Likewise, the commodity for delivery in far-month May contracts shed Rs 11 or 0.25 per cent to Rs 4,437 per quintal in 18,130 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in chana prices at futures trade to sufficient stocks positions in the physical market on increased supplies from producing regions against low demand.
