Amid pickup in arrivals from producing belts and subdued domestic demand, chana prices declined by 0.79 per cent to Rs 4,760 per quintal in futures trade today.
However, lower output estimates from key growing regions, capped the fall.
In futures trading at the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in July fell by Rs 38, or 0.79 per cent to Rs 4,760 per quintal with an open interest of 1,73,790 lots.
Analysts said besides higher supplies from producing belts, low demand in the spot markets mainly pulled down chana prices at futures trade.
