At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in May month fell by Rs 63, or 1.14 per cent to Rs 5,443 per quintal with an open interest of 11,890 lots.
Likewise, the commodity for delivery in far-month June contracts declined by Rs 39, or 0.70 per cent to Rs 5,550 per quintal in 13,730 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in chana futures to ample stocks positions in the physical market on improved supplies from producing regions after the government measures to check rising prices.
