Chana prices fell by 1.07 per cent to Rs 3,411 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators offloaded positions on the back of sluggish demand in spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in February fell by Rs 37, or 1.07 per cent, to Rs 3,411 per quintal with an open interest of 1,25,560 lots.
The April contract traded lower by Rs 15, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 3,525 per quintal in 1,06,660 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators, triggered by subdued demand demand in spot market against adequate stocks position, mainly kept pressure on chana prices at futures trade.
