At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in January month rose by Rs 52, or 1.49 per cent to Rs 3,537 per quintal with an open interest of 27,660 lots.
The commodity for delivery in February moved up by Rs 25, or 0.70 per cent to Rs 3,577 per quintal in 96,360 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in chana futures to lower supplies from producing belts at spot market and pick up in demand.
