Chandigarh International airport ready for flights

Chandigarh International Airport Ltd, subsidiary of Airports Authority of India, will commence all domestic scheduled and non scheduled flights from newly constructed Integrated Terminal Building at Civil Airport here from tomorrow.
The new Airport Terminal Building was recently dedicated in the service of the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 11.
It can be accessed from Aerocity Road from either side - Mohali Sector 66 or Patiala Road, an official said.
It has all facilities like two aero-bridges, baggage conveyors, 48-Check-in Counters, prepaid taxi counters, snack bars, visitor entry ticket counter, car parking Space and differently abled passenger friendly facilities, airport director Suneel Dutt said here.
The departing passengers shall take elevated road to access departure hall and arrival is from ground floor, he said.
The Jet Airways will become the first flight to land and takeoff from New Civil Air Terminal, run by Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL), he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the new terminal, which will handle both domestic as well as international flights, on September 11.
