The four-day festival, which will be inaugurated on Thursday, will begin with a panel discussion on '30 Years of Operation Bluestar', besides having book reading sessions, movie screenings and discussions, CLF organizers said today.
On October 31, a session will be held on Amandeep Sandhu's book "Gawah De Fanah Ho Jaan Ton Pehlan" --Punjabi translation of 'Roll of Honour', the story of split loyalties of a Sikh boy in a boarding school in Punjab during the Khalistan movement and based on events of the year 1984, Operation Bluestar, former prime minister Indira Gandhi's assassination and riots.
Among prominent authors and critics who would be a part of the fest include Jnanpith Puraskar awardee Kedarnath Singh, and his book 'Srishti Par Pahra', will be taken up for discussion on Day 2.
British historian and writer, William Dalrymple, will also be among the prominent personalities at the CLF.
Another prominent participating authors would be Arshia Sattar whose translations of the Valmiki Ramayana (1996) and Tales from the Kathasaritsagara (1993) are published by Penguin Books as is her collection of essays on the Ramayana, 'Lost Loves: Exploring Rama's Anguish' (2011).
