"Issues raised by the JD(U) leader are genuine and they will be looked into during the next meeting on May 5 at Thiruvanathapuram," Chandy told reporters emerging from a 45-minute meeting held at Veerendrakumar's residence here.
"Congress has been adopting a strategy of treating all UDF constituents fairly," he said, adding, KPCC president V M Sudheeran and Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala would also be present during the next meeting.
In today's meeting, Veerendrakumar is believed to have expressed his party's views on many issues to the Chief Minister while demanding stern action against those responsible for UDF candidate's defeat in Palakkad in Lok Sabha polls.
The JD(U) state president had contested from the seat.

Veerendrakumar said he was happy that the Chief Minister paid serious attention to the demands.
JD(U) has decided to take all steps for making the UDF north zone propaganda rally a success and the party hasn't taken any decision to abstain from the event, he added.
Chandy later left for Wayanad to take part in government functions.
