The 50-year-old actor, who last month revealed he is HIV positive, has been flaunting the idea of a memoir to several publishers but some have baulked at the huge sum, with one insisting that because much of his life is lived in the public eye there cannot be a lot we don't know, reported the New York Post.

The actor - who has previously claimed he has poetry in his "fingertips" - may not have to wait much time for a book deal though as he's reportedly been inundated with offers.

Last week, it was reported that Charlie's manager Mark Burg has been "buried with offers" from publishers who are desperate for the 'Anger Management' star to tell his colourful life story.
