A case of cheating was lodged today against top officials of an IT company, located in Somajiguda area here, for allegedly cheating over 130 youths to the tune of Rs 87 lakh by promising them placement with the firm, police said.
"The software company, Aapti Techno Soft collected Rs 60,000 each from over 130 unemployed youths towards training. The youths were promised employment in the company after completion of the training period around one year ago," Panjagutta police station inspector S Mohan Kumar said.
