State Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand has instructed senior police officials and transport department to take action in this regard as early as possible, an official statement said here today.
Dhand has directed to remove the dangerous hoardings on roadside and shift liquor shops located on main roads and state highways elsewhere, it said.
Besides, the chief secretary has also asked to relocate dairies situated in the middle of cities and towns to their outskirts.
He also asked officials of departments of police, transport, health, school education, PWD, prohibition and urban administration to work for chalking out an 'action plan' with mutual co-ordination for ensuring public safety.

Dhand also said a committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of former Chief Justice of India Justice S K Radhakrishnan for ensuring road safety.
As per the directives of the committee, secretary of transport department presents a report in every three months detailing about various measures taken by the respective states on road safety, it said.
