The agriculture department has been directed to set up the toll free helpline and release its number in next two days in the district, Dhamtari Collector Bheem Singh said.
The farmers would be able to register their grievances related to farming, crop cross, paddy procurement, compensation through this helpline.
Besides, it will also act as a consultancy medium for the farmers who are members of agriculture cooperative societies, he added.
The idea will be fruitful for the farmers facing the brunt of drought in this kharif crop year, the collector said.
Moreover, the block level officials have been instructed to stay in touch with farmers of their respective areas to address their problems in view of drought this year, he added.
