Chhetri to be presented AIFF Player of Year tomorrow

India captain Sunil Chhetri will be presented the 2013 AIFF Player of the Year Award in the Indian Football Awards function here tomorrow.
Chhetri emerged winner through voting among all the club coaches of I-League.
Seven awards will be presented to the winners ranging from administrators to supervisors and players.
Five among the seven swards have been instituted for the first time while one re-instituted after 2001. This will be the first-time the awards will be presented on a common platform in an annual function.
The categories for new awards include the 2013 AIFF Award for the Best Assistant Referee; 2013 AIFF Award for the Best Referee; 2013 Award for the Best Emerging Player of the Year; Award for Best Grassroots Development Programme and Award for Continuous Contribution to Indian Football.
The 2013 Award for the Best Woman Player of the Year is being re-instituted.

2013 AIFF Award for Emerging Player of the Year: Jeje Lalpekhlua
Award for Best Grassroots Development Programme: Mizoram Football Association.
Award for long-time contribution to Indian Football: Tata Football Academy.
2013 AIFF Award for the Best Referee: Pratap Singh
2013 AIFF Award for the Best Assistant Referee: Biplab Poddar.
