Chief Secretary V K Pipersenia visits GMDA

Assam Chief Secretary V K Pipersenia today visited the office of the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority and took stock of various activities of GMDA.
On his maiden visit to GMDA as Chief Secretary, Pipersenia held a meeting with the GMDA chairman, chief executive officer and other officials.
The Chief Secretary emphasised on the need for developing the GMDA into an effective organisation for ensuring better living condition in the city and the need to plan properly and act on the development front.
During the meeting, GMDA chairman Dhiren Baruah apprised Pipersenia about various issues pertaining to the Authority, while CEO Anurag Singh made a presentation on the activities and achievements of the GMDA.

GMC Commissioner Narayan Konwar attended the meeting besides other senior officials of relevant departments including the Water Resources Department, a government release said.
