Children's film fest with titles from home and world

A children's film festival, having an alluring package of documentaries on wildlife, environment as well as cartoon, animation, features in English and Bengali will be organized by this time in city next year where kids from the underprivileged as well as others will be only audience along with their elders and teachers.
"Ranging from Feluda flicks like Sonar Kella, to Harry Potter and Avatar, from BBC and National Geographic productions to Tom and Jerry and Chhota Bheem we wish to give a veritable package to the kids in the festival which we wish to hold by next year's May-June, which is their summer vacation time," an official from Summer Safari, a Kid's Carnival, said.
"Considering the range and content of the movies, this will be a fairly comprehensive one, and this could be our effort to give something to the little angels who are otherwise starved of the pure, unadulterated entertainment we used to savour in our days," the official said.
Pragna Johar, Associate Vice-President of Forum Mall, said "while in this year's summer safari we brought exotic macaw birds from Africa besides some other more known species with children from 3 to 12 posing with the winged guests, there will be another precursor to the one and only children's film festival with equal accent on English and Indian, action and cerebral quotient, during this year itself coinciding with November 14, the children's day. The festival could be hosted at the multiplex within the mall."
Children, mostly drawn from Narkeldanga, Tapsia, Park Circus slums also walked the ramp in a unique fashion show and grooved and gyrated as chart topper Singh is King got played in the background.
