Children's Film Festival in Hyderabad from November 14

The 19th International Children's Film Festival of India, also known as Golden Elephant, will start here on November 14.
This year's edition of the festival has received a whooping 1,204 films from 80 countries.
Children's Film Society, India, and the Telangana government will be hosting the week-long festival which will feature, among other things, a special section called Asian Panorama which will showcase Asian films.
The films will be screened at various theatres across the city.
Festival director Shravan Kumar said, "In one of the many firsts, we have received international entries for our Little Directors concept which was introduced as an innovation in the previous edition.
"We have received participation from 80 countries and as an additional step towards enhancing the international participation we also contacted many embassies for their participation. Many of these embassies like Sweden, Egypt, Mexico, Republic Of Armenia, Afghanistan and Switzerland etc., responded and submitted 45 film entries," he said.
Award-winning films such as "Maya the Bee" from Germany, "Celestial Camel" from Russia, "Birds of Passage" from Belgium, "My Skinny Sister" from Sweden and "Rainbow' from India would be screened during the festival.
This year's ICFFI has received as many as 1,204 films from 80 countries, the highest so far. Last year there were 748 films from 87 countries.
