Red chilli prices rose Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 8,000-13,000 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also increased by Rs 100 each to finish at Rs 11,100-11,400 and Rs 14,400-15,000 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said fresh buying by retailers and stockists against restricted arrivals from producing belts, mainly pushed up chilli and jeera prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
Ajwain (per kg) 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 700-850, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,400-1,430 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,630.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 720-770, cardamom (colour robin) 700-760, cardamom bold 750-770, cardamom extra (bold) 920-970 and cloves 850-925.
