Red chilli and turmeric prices rose by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks.
Besides, fall in supplies from producing belts also supported the upside in prices.
Red chilli and turmeric traded Rs 200 each higher at Rs 8,200-13,200 and Rs 7,200-11,800 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up chilli and turmeric prices.

Ajwain (per kg) 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 710-860, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,400-1,430 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,625.
