The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said economic growth for 2015 was unchanged at 6.9 per cent but the size of China's economy in 2015 has been revised to 68.91 trillion yuan (9.96 trillion U.S. Dollars), up 354.6 billion yuan from its preliminary figure.
The value of the primary industry was revised down to 6.09 trillion yuan in 2015, with the growth rate remaining at 3.9 per cent, state-run Xinhua news agency quoted a NBS statement on its website.
The value of the tertiary sector was revised up to 34.62 trillion yuan, with growth reaching 8.2 per cent, the report said.
China's economic growth rate target has been set at 6.5 per cent to 7 per cent in 2016, with an average annual growth rate of at least 6.5 per cent through 2020, Premier Li Keqiang had said in March last year when presenting the government work report to the annual parliamentary session.
