The video of the accident in Guiyang city went viral on the Internet, showing the bus as it disappeared into the huge pit. Three people - the driver of the bus and two passengers - were injured in the accident on Thursday.
The bus was pulled out of the pit later.
The cause of the cave-in was not disclosed but workers had repaired that portion of the road.
