China still conducts cyber-espionage against US: intel chiefs

The Chinese government continues to run cyber-spying operations against the United States and American companies and organisations, despite Chinese President Xi Jinping's 2015 agreement to halt those efforts, US spy chiefs said today.
"Beijing continues to conduct cyber espionage against the US government, our allies, and US companies," three US intelligence chiefs told a Senate hearing in a joint statement.
"China continues to integrate and streamline its cyber operations and capabilities into a dedicated cyber element that will be increasingly difficult to detect or counter," they said.
