China, US to ensure Trump's visit a 'historic success':Vice FM

China and the US are working to ensure President Donald Trump's visit to Beijing next week is a "historic success", Vice Foreign Minister Zheng Zeguang said today.
Trump, who will pay a State Visit to China from November 8 to 10, will be the first head of state to visit the country after the 19th National Congress of the ruling Communist Party of China.
The Congress endorsed a second term for President Xi Jinping, regarded as the most powerful leader of China in recent years.
President Xi will receive Trump with high standards in reciprocity to the hospitality he had received from the US president at Mar-a-Lago in April, Zheng was quoted saying by state-run Xinhua news agency.

"Apart from the red-carpet ceremony, formal talks and banquet, the two presidents will have informal arrangements," Zheng told reporters.
The two leaders will exchange views on major issues of mutual concern, attend a business community event and meet the press, he added.
