"As an individual from Ladakh or Arunachal Pradesh being the border area of China, we would request the Chinese government that this attitude by their military is very unbecoming," Ering said in a statement.
According to reports, a platoon-strength contingent of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) had entered the Indian Territory in Daulat Beg Oldi (DBO) sector in eastern Ladakh and erected a tented post, setting the stage for a face-off with Indian troops.
The Congress MP from Arunachal Pradesh said that this contentious issue was there even in his own state.
"We have this issue even in Arunachal Pradesh also. This is a story not of now, but even before the 1962 aggression or even before 1947. We had trade links with China, but of course it was not China it was Tibet at that time. So, we never had any links with China," said Ering.
DBO, which is located in northernmost Ladakh, is a historic campsite.
It is located on an ancient trade route connecting Ladakh to Yarkand in Xinjiang, China.
