Chinese remake of 'My Best Friend's Wedding' in the offing?

Columbia Pictures is reportedly developing a Chinese remake of their 1997 romantic comedy 'My Best Friend's Wedding', starring Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney.
The studio has entered into an agreement with Chinese producer and distributor New Classics Media to develop the new film, said the Hollywood Reporter.
The studio will also distribute director Chen Kaige's action title 'The Monk' through Sony Pictures Releasing International for a 2015 release.
